Defensive Strategies

Block
Point- you just need to stop the ball from getting over your side.
Explain- When you go to block just put put your arms in a firm stance in front of you and hit the ball back over the net.
Example- When you are playing volley it is best to put the tallest players at the front so that when they have a clear shot they can set the ball back over the net to stop the players from the slightest chance of getting a point.

Mismatch
P-Mismatch is when there is a disadvantage against to people
E-A mismatch can be in height or speed, like putting someone short with someone tall or someone slow with someone fast.
E- When playing volley you can always put someone tall where someone short is so that when they try to get the ball over the tall one can just block them easily

    Hauora

    Hauora and well-being
In class we are learning how you need to have 4 different states to show your healthy. The4 different states are Taha Tinana Physical well being, Taha Wairua-Spiritual health, Taha Whanau- social well being, TAHA HINENGARO- MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING. together these 4 things create what some people call a Whare because a Whare needs four walls to stand upright and be great to work with. When working with these four things you are not working alone.
Taha Whanau is all about your bonds you have with people, which group of people you connect with or your background.
Taha Wairua is all about how you feel deep down within yourself, about your beliefs and what has shaped you to be how you are now.
Taha Tinana, you are looking at how you treat your body and what you do to keep fit. When you are looking after your Taha Tinana you are looking at all the ways you are looking after your body as in hygine and fitness.
Taha Hinengaro is when you are looking at your mental state and how you are.
Thinking of the ways that you think, your behaviour towards others and yourself, how you think about the ways you react to things and how you want to live your life.

    PAPAKURA HIGH LEARNING

Kia orana, my name Tara,I am a pacific islander coming from the beautiful islands the Cook Islands. I am 13 yrs old and I go to a school named Papakura High School (PHS). There are many different opportunities to get to know others and learn different things. I enjoy spending time with family and friends playing sports and just talking to know more about how they are. I like to think that I am my own person that does things I believe that represents myself and if I have no regrets, I can live life to the fullest.

    ICT

The teacher in charge of my learning is Mr Tuhoe. What I have learnt about 3D printing is that you can use a whole bunch of simple shapes to make one awesome MASTER PIECE. We are basing our work on Matariki, the Maori new year. For my project, I have created a turtle using Tinkercad,

    Health

Facebook and should it be allowed in schools?

Me: Yes we should have Facebook because some people don’t have a phone and Facebook is a way for family to contact each other.
Parents: No because Facebook is a distraction to others and stops them from doing their work.
Friend: Yes because face book isn't really important when we are at school.
